The short version
- The public website has no accounts, forms, or cookies, and asks you for nothing.
- If you sign in to one of our apps with Google, we receive only the information you approve on Google’s consent screen.
- We use that information only to provide the features you asked for.
- We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Visiting the website
You can read theiyerfam.com without giving us any personal information. The site does not set cookies, use advertising trackers, or ask you to fill in forms.
Like every website, our hosting and network providers receive standard technical details when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These details are used to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and produce aggregate, cookie-free traffic statistics. We do not use them to identify you.
Information we receive from Google
Some of our apps let you sign in with your Google Account. When you do, Google shows you exactly what the app is asking for, and nothing is shared unless you approve it. Depending on what you approve, we may receive:
- Basic profile information: your name, email address, and profile picture, used to sign you in and show that you are signed in.
- Additional Google data: only the specific data covered by any extra permissions listed on the consent screen, used only for the feature that requested it.
How we use and share Google user data
We use information received from Google APIs only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the app you are using. We do not:
- sell Google user data;
- use or transfer it for advertising, including personalized or retargeted ads;
- use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
- use it to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
- allow people to read it, except with your explicit consent, when needed for security (such as investigating abuse), to comply with the law, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
We share Google user data only with service providers that host or run the app on our behalf, only as needed to provide its features, or when required by law.
The Iyer Family’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Storage, retention, and deletion
We keep information received from Google only for as long as it is needed to provide the app’s features, or until you ask us to delete it. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access is limited to the people who maintain the app.
You can stop an app’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page. To have data we hold about you deleted, contact us as described below and we will remove it within 30 days.
Children
Our apps are intended for family members and invited guests. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent. If you believe a child has shared information with us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will ask for your consent again before applying it.
Contact
For questions or deletion requests, contact the site owner at the user support email shown on the Google consent screen of the app you are using.
